RAGGO ZULU REBEL

Raggo Zulu Rebel is a creative vessel for a conscious message, with 20 years of songwriting and performing experience at hand.
Recording artist with extraordinary story telling abilities, he adopted the moniker "Jah Messenger”, which is also the title of his debut album, released in 2007.
The title of "Jah Messenger” comes from the acceptance of the responsibility - inherited from the musical messengers like Luciano, Capelton, Anthony B, Sizzla - to spread messages of cultural value and worth, self awareness, empowerment, upliftment, sufferation & social injustice amongst people of all generations who didn’t seem to have much direction or guidance at the time.
Performing from as early as 9 years old as part of the "Stratford Theatre Royal weekly youth group" among other performing young talents, gave him the chance to develop a strong stage presence which to this day, is one oh his major strengths together with the powerful messages in his lyrics.
He recorded his first track, aged 13, "UK rap" a collaboration with childhood friend Stallion Solo of The Remand Crew (deja vu fm). The song theme was directed at Uk rappers perpetrating american accents establishing a strong sense of identity and a firm sense of self from start. The song was produced by uk hiphop pioneers London Posse producer Sparky.
During his mid teens, Raggo embarked on a spiritual journey into Rastafari after a trip to the Caribbean. This newly awaken spirituality is clearly reflected in his music in which the presence of philosophy & ideologies of Rastafari, Ethiopia, the old testament, Marcus Garvey, ital livity and an uncompromised anti establishment is unashamedly expressed.
in 2004, teamed up with life time friend Clued UP, Raggo independently released the mixtape "Born In Babylon” and his first solo EP, "The Struggle". This opened the possibilities of then collaborating with well established London Producer, Morfius ( More for Us Media) with whom he wrote and produced numerous Mixtapes and 4 Albums including, Jah Messenger, The Return of Jah Messenger, Holy War, The Bible and The Gun.
Also around this time he goes on to form a musical collective/ sound system "Exodus 1st Movement" and begins promoting under 18's raves with Urban Development at newly built Stratford circus, Princess Alice, Players Club, One Love Community Centre, and various other venues throughout London.
20 years of recording and performing, enable Raggo to showcase his talent, spread his message and gain the respect of many fellow musicians, artists, poet and entertainers in and around the Uk, and now, in 2016, Internationally.
He has collaborated, taught and recorded all around the world, firstly headlining Sicily's Annual Sol Music festival in 2005, headlining Act Mic- A- Blaze Records concert in Galway Ireland, supporting Big Cakes "its All Love Tour" , and more recently Rome where he performed on National Tv alongside Marianna Zappi X Factor UK contestant.
He also has recorded and performed with Lil Hero & PZED at Triangle Records studios Dunns River Jamaica, took part in an international community led project called "I Remember Srebrenica" in Bosnia, and he recently has been able to perform at Winsome Castle in Amsterdam's red light district.
He had the pleasure to share stages:Congo Natty aka Rebel MC ( R.I.P Tenor Fly tribute) ,General Levy, Lee scratch perry, Loose ends, Saigon, Gangstar's guru, Logic, Mic righteous, English Frank, No lay, Wretch 32, Jammer, Rodney P, Ty, Marianna Zappi, Maverick Sabre, Klashneckoff, Akala, Plan b, Dj Xcalilbur, MakkaB.
His latest album, Stream Of Consciousness, sees Raggo experimenting with different sounds and taking on the task of producing, mixing and mastering indipendently.
MARIANNA ZAPPI
"There is something undeniable about Marianna Zappi and it is her powerhouse voice.
And it’s worth listening to. Her voice is so powerful that it seems almost to exist outside her body, an entity in and of itself, as if the breath she draws before her first note is a blissful union that marries the two. When Marianna sings, everything else in the world seems to make a bit more sense".
Marianna started singing at a very young age in her country, Italy, where she studied in one of the best and most recognised vocal coaching schools in the country followed in her learning, by vocal coach and music teacher Lorena Scaccia.
Her voice is warm, deep and agile to reach some great heights, not only with her range, but also with her spirit.
Her music fresh and authentic like a cold winter morning breeze walking through the streets of Bedford–Stuyvesant, but the heart-full sounds of deep down Mississippi.
As a singer, she took part in some of the most prestigious shows and music contests and tv programs as a young talent and had the pleasure to work with some of greatest names in the history of Italian music such as Nora Orlandi (composer of the Kill Bill 2 soundtrack) opening for Giorgia and many others.
She was called to be a part of the Jubilee in 2000 in Rome and had the opportunity to perform for John Paul II in front of a crowd of 2million people. Experience that she would repeat in 2007 for the European youth day, singing for 700.000 and Pope Benedict XVI. She then spent 3 and half years on a tour with an American Gospel choir that took her around the world and Europe, before moving permanently to London where she further her music career working with the likes of Dick Hallighan (Blood, Sweat & Tears), writing with songwriter Mike Japp ( the Kiss), and also collaborated on several project with Sound engineer Rory Madden, "We Will Rock You" Executive Producer Phil McIntyre, Cj Ranger.
Following the release of her first ep - The Time Is Now - Marianna won several awards (Best Acoustic Act – Best Female Solo artist Unsigned Hype act 2013- 2014 )and was nominated for Mtv Brand New Artist 2014 , and "Hard rock rising – the global battle of the band".
She has taken part in the Jazz Cafe Competition "Who's Got the hits" and she won the 1st Edition" and this led to her taking part in the Xfactor Uk – 2016.
Marianna is also a prolific songwriter and has collaborated through the years with many international artists in this capacity. She is a vocal coach and a music leader delivering trainings and facilitating artist development programs such the the YouPress collective which she has been the Project manager of for the past 3 years.
Marianna gained the attention of BBC radio introducing with many of her projects including a collaboration EP with Duane Flames: M&D the drug. Following the release of the 2nd Ep – Untameable - Marianna has been travelling with her band across Europe.
